| | Ants
Ants are social insects that live in colonies or nests usually located in the soil near the house foundation, under concrete slabs, in crawlspaces, in structural wood, in the yard or garden, in trees and in other protected places. |
| | Termites
Termites typically become a household problem in the spring, when temperatures begin to warm up. Termites are wood boring insects. They attack and consume wood and are particularly attracted to damp wood. They should be treated at the first sign that they have arrived. |
| | Bees
Bees are active in the Spring and Summer. Eastern Carpenter Bees sometimes bore holes in wood dwellings and can become minor pests. They use chewed wood bits to form partitions between the cells in the nest. |
